INSTRUCTORS AND GUESTBOOK

Ron dedicates himself to supporting children who have learning difficulties in Hampshire. He wants to help them reach their full potential, so call us today.

Ron Hancock 8th Dan - Master Instructor/Senior Examiner
Ron joined the Army in 1970 at the age of 15 where he studied Judo and reached the dizzy heights of green belt. He had a short break from martial arts and at the age of 19 studied Shotokan Karate in Portsmouth where he reached the grade of 1st Dan Shodan. In 1984 he switched styles and began to study Kyushindo Karate under Ray Wood at Totton where he progressed through to 2nd Dan. However, since then he started a club in Romsey and worked with the Amateur Martial Association (A.M.A) and achieved the grade of Black Belt 4th Dan in 1997. In January 2001, Ron affiliated to the Martial Arts Foundation and met all the requirements for 5th Dan. In March 2003 Ron was accepted as a fellow member of the Institute of Karate Masters (F.I.K.M.). In March 2004 Ron gained his 6th Dan from the A.M.A. with the 7th Dan awarded in 2014.

Ron has been practicing martial arts for more than 30 years, the last fifteen working part time with children who have learning difficulties at a private school in Hampshire. Ron has used his martial arts knowledge and skills to help those children who have special educational needs. These needs may be due to a number of reasons such as:
Speech and Language
Emotional or behavioural
Physical disability

Ron says that he will keep on supporting all those children who have learning difficulties regardless of their abilities and behaviour because they are first and foremost children. They should be allowed to live their lives as normally as possible and be encouraged to develop their skills to their full potential because he values them all.
